Artists come in many shapes and sizes. Not just visually but also in the energy, interpretation and musical expression they bring to a performance. Capturing what is quintessential about them, their essence as a performer, is the true skill of any great music video director.

Music videos are one of my favourite creative platforms. It’s exciting to collaborate with artists and explore their take on wardrobe, lighting, mood, etc. Whether it’s Joss Stone (where we had exclusive access to film in The Tower of London among the Remembrance poppies), Ronan Keating, Mica Paris or Alesha Dixon, I’ve worked with a host of musicians from pop to soul to dance to jazz to classical to deliver the complementary visual interpretation for their sound, and tailored to the intent of the song. Music is not just about the sound, it’s about the meaning, the story and I try to translate this uniquely in conjunction with each artist I work with. Click on the images to view the work.
